So this past weekend was Porter Flea & the 2nd time I’ve been able to test out some of my own art prints in public. The turn out was amazing & I am really happy to announce that so many people enjoyed my “Why I Love You” prints :) Working on my own illustrations after work was just a labor of love for the first few years. Figuring out what I wanted to create, what I thought others would enjoy, what I wouldn’t lose my soul creating. Over time, the work that kept sticking out to me were the little phrases I came up with that were at one point created for someone I cared about. “Why I Love You” is the first of these that I’ve been able to execute, print & sell and it just makes me really happy that others find it relatable and adorable as well. :)

Here’s an illustration I did recently. I started out wanting to create a small book but it turned into more of a poem & print. I’m still not 100% sure where I want to take this, but I know that I want to keep the hand drawn sketchy-ness feel that adds so much sincerity. Any thoughts?

There are always problems to overcome when you’re treading new ground. Don’t get caught up on feeling bad about hitting a wall - get motivated to overcome it & be proud of yourself for doing something new.  -A.dubs

i’m going to try my best to keep up with these. also note, as i get farther down the page my hand writing starts to go up. looks like my pma builder works :)

here’s a sneak at the latest illustration project on my plate. just a little tweaking left to do & then to print! … these will be pillows :) either 2 different ones OR 1, with different front & backs :)

MID goes cute for Valentine’s Day. A little ironic since we’ve technically never celebrated it, however, I did ask to celebrate it this year. “Why?” Drew asked. “So you can give me a gift,” I said. “Ohhhhhh, I see.” - So what did I ask for? A functioning MID website!! so. we’ll see.

In the meantime, we’ll also be printing some of these pillows soon & we may get them in our first local shop :) If so, I will definitely post it.
